Ojos de Brujo Live @ Ancienne Belgique

'Jip jop flamenkillo'!? Or: 'a non stop punk rock flamenco party with a digital backbeat'!? In any case the most exciting mestizo crossover to be found, remember Sfinks last year, and now there's the brilliant third CD 'Techari' (on their very own Diquela label via Pias). Ojos De Brujo has been working on the unique, vehement and stratified sound since '96 (and also their autonomous, committed organisation). From Barcelona, the crossroad between Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean and now with eight musicians - including flamenco guitars, palmas, drums and percussion, keyboards and DJ. Especially singer Marina La Canillas Abad is literally an extremely attractive vocal lure. Ojos De Brujo in the AB? For more info on their next concert @ Ancienne Belgique this Sunday 22nd October, go here. And now, enjoy one Ojos de Brujo's latest hits: Sultanas de Merkaillo.
