Iris Day Celebrations this weekend

It's time again to celebrate the Brussels Region! The public turned up in their thousands last year to enjoy numerous street activities, concerts and a typically Brussels atmosphere. Aged 7 to 77, they will surely be won over by the 2007 edition. This will be even more attractive, packed with more events and more authentically Brussels than ever! Everything will take place on 5 and 6 May next. Here is an outline of what the Brussels Region has put together:

Saturday 05/05- 21:00 > 22:30 Concert Hooverphonic Grand-Place What could be better than a free concert in one of the world's most beautiful squares, featuring a leading light on the Belgian pop scene?

Sunday 06/05- 11:30 > 18:30 La Rue en fĂȘte Street celebrations in the Place Saint-Jean quarter! There will be loads of activities, street theatre, parades, games for kids, concerts and so on. A whole host of little pleasures that will delight children and their parents. The public will also be able to familiarise themselves a little more, in a fun way, with the Brussels Region and its institutions.-

12:00 > 14:00 Concert Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra Grand-Place Among its many jewels, Brussels has a philharmonic orchestra that highlights young talents fresh out of our conservatories. Enjoy classical music from the 17th century, with 75 musicians on stage. A dream for all the family!-

12:00 > 19:00 Open day in the Brussels Parliament Once again, as tradition dictates, the Brussels Parliament will open its doors to the public all day long. Jazz concerts will be held within its walls. An occasion not to be missed to discover a building that is usually out of bounds to the public, with its function rooms, hemicycle, terrace, gardens and so on...
